Semantics and Context-aware modelling of Shop floor

Semantic model (i.e. ontology) serves as a common reference for the annotation and description of the knowledge to represent manufacturing system performance. The ontology describes the basic entities of the overall system and model relevant structures of multi-stage manufacturing processes. A defect and performance taxonomy define the system input (data from shop-floor) and output parameters (performance transfer functions).
