WHIRLPOOL Dryer Factory Holistic Quality Platform

The new born Dryer factory in Lodz has been targeted as the second experiment in Whirlpool EMEA to approach an Industry 4.0 approach for shop-floor Quality management. This is made through the definition of a set of Quality Gates, i.e. physical points along the production process where some specific measurement of parts, product performances and process parameters are gathered. These data are then collected in a unique database. However, a further step of integration could be made available at a higher level of vertical integration (e.g. through chain business processes) and horizontal (to others related processes or factories) through a more advanced data model and a set of data visualization and advanced analytical tool.
