Wrap-up Webinar on Data Spaces in Manufacturing

On the 7th of the December was held a webinar on Data Spaces in Manufacturing organised by DG Connect and EFFRA.

The webinar was the ideal occasion to get to know in more detail the recently launched open call for the deployment of data spaces in manufacturing, which closes the 24th of January 2023. The event also served to raise awareness about some of the initiatives established to help do so, such as the flagship initiative of the Digital Factory Alliance, DataSpace 4.0, and the Data Spaces Support Centre, with whom it will work for the development of the blueprint for dataspaces in manufacturing.

The webinar started with its presentation by the executive director and general consultant of EFFRA, Željko Pazin and Chris Decubber. To begin, Federico Milani, Deputy Head of the Data Policy and Innovation Unit in the European Commission gave a general overview of data spaces. To continue, Matthias Kuom, Policy Officer in the Digital Transformation of Industrial Ecosystems Unit of the European Commission outlined the details of the open call and answered to several questions. To end, Clara Pezuela from Fiware talked about the role of the recently launched Data Spaces Support Centre while Oscar Lázaro, from Innovalia Association, introduced DataSpace 4.0, which it is taking its first steps.

In case you were not able to attend the webinar, you can have open access to the full recording and the presentations through our Digital Corner.
