The abrupt outbreak of COVID 2019 and its rapid spread over many healthcare systems throughout the world has led to a shortage in personal protective equipment (PPE), which could not be solved by reducing their use or by increasing production. To face this emergency, the European Commission supported the repurposing and adaptation of production lines to quickly adjust to new and urgent production of medical equipment. SEAC reaction in March 2020 was to make its skills, technology and snorkeling masks at disposal of who was fighting the pandemic. On this path, SEAC joined the EUR3KA consortium and they are cooperating toward the Digital Modular Rapid Repurposing for Medical Products.
Organised by EUR3KA.
