As part of the green, circular and digital transformation of the European manufacturing SM4RTENANCE Pilots Deep Dives are bi-monthly events dedicated to exploring the business and technical applications of Data Spaces in the manufacturing industry.

This 2nd Deep Dive  focused on Milling machine predictive maintenance with Data Spaces.

Predictive maintenance (PdM) uses the data generated by a particular machine to create a more granular picture of part and asset life cycles. PdM, theoretically, takes the guesswork out of scheduling maintenance. While many companies have launched isolated pilots, however, few have been able to deploy PdM at scale across their operations. Reaching the SM4RTENANCE vision of autonomous asset maintenance (collaborative self-healing) will require a number of iterations in which both, the data space services and the maturity of data sharing principles will evolve.

Harald Sehrschön and Martin Muik from FILL will show how to optimize predictive maintenance activities based on Data Spaces!
